About the Movement

The Be Your True Self Movement is built on three principles that can strengthen how we live, work, and care for one another.

Be Your True Self. Our easiest instinct is not always our best choice. Being our true self means choosing the higher road, even when it takes effort, sacrifice, or a step outside our comfort zone.

Keep Your Hand on FAIR. Sometimes fairness is already defined, as with rules we share. In a marriage, friendship, or team, the people involved often need to talk openly about what fair means and work toward a win for everyone. That understanding needs care and accountability over time.

Take Care of the Goose. A “goose” is anything that helps make a good outcome possible: a person, a relationship, a team, a home, an education, or even a car that provides reliable transportation. When we care for the source, we give its “golden eggs” a better chance to continue.

These principles work together. This movement will explore them through everyday stories and practical examples across family, friendship, work, education, faith, and personal growth. People of any background are welcome to join the conversation.
